Seek First: A Week of Prayer and Fasting

Vancouver Vineyard believes in the power of prayer and fasting. From the beginning, prayer has been core to our Church’s DNA and we believe that fasting is an essential tool in walking with God. At the beginning of each year we set aside time for prayer with fasting to set ourselves apart for our King and His Kingdom. This year we are finishing the week with a Night of Worship & communion.

If you have any physical or mental health circumstances that may prevent you from fasting, please consult with a doctor before you undertake this endeavor or refrain from participating at this time.

Seek First prayer group schedule

• Sunday January 12th: 7-8pm in the Portal

• Monday January 13th: 7-8pm in the Portal

• Tuesday January 14th: 7-8pm in the Portal

• Wednesday January 15th:

  • 6-7am in the Portal

  • 7-8pm in the Portal

• Thursday January 16th:

  • 6-7am in the Portal

  • 7-8pm in the Portal

• Friday January 17th:

  • 9-10am in the Upper Room of the Church

  • 7-8pm in the Portal (Night of Worship)

The Portal is located at 2007 E 12th St. The Upper Room is in the balcony level of the Church at 1207 E Reserve St; you can access the room via the exterior stairwell on the east side of the building.

Our fasting and prayer is ultimately for the adoration of Jesus, so we are excited to gather together at the end of the week to pour out our adoration to the Lord during the Night of Worship, Friday the 17th at 7:00 pm. Childcare is provided - let us know your kids’ ages if they will be coming!

While childcare will not be provided at the daily prayer groups, please don’t let that prevent you from joining us. We believe that children are an important part of our Church body and would love to have them witness our times of prayer and fasting.
