Looking for more ways to give or reach out as an individual, group of friends, family or Life Group? As we're entering the holiday season, there are two organizations who are doing great things for our community that we'd like to highlight:
• Stay Warm Vancouver is a volunteer run organization that provides cold weather survival supplies for those living/sleeping outside along the Fourth Plain Corridor. They have specific supplies listed to donate and volunteer opportunities (with training included on their website) to hand out directly beginning this month.
• Family Promise is another organization helping families who are unhoused begin the process of finding a permanent place to live. Their program partners with volunteers from area churches to provide short-term placements for families as they work with case managers. They offer classes, resources, trainings and job/career assistance to begin to process of supporting families build a sustainable foundation to thrive.
